At Magavu, we believe that every life begins with a story — and every mother deserves the knowledge, confidence, and support to shape that story mindfully. For me, that purpose revealed itself through my own journey into motherhood.
My experiences with two very different births — a Cesarean and a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) — opened my eyes to the importance of informed choices during pregnancy and childbirth. What started as a personal journey soon became a deeper calling.
🌱 The Beginning of Magavu
Like many mothers, I faced challenges, doubts, and unanswered questions during my first pregnancy and early parenting days. With my second child, I began observing more consciously — from pre-pregnancy to breastfeeding — trying to understand how every stage impacts a child's health and development.
At the same time, my work in social service exposed me to children with health challenges. While helping them grow and gain independence was fulfilling, one question stayed with me:
"Can we prevent these challenges before birth?"
This question became the foundation of Magavu.
🌿 Our Philosophy
Through research, learning, and lived experience, one truth became clear: The care, awareness, and choices made during preconception, pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding have a lasting impact on a child's health. In today's world, where lifestyles have changed and traditional knowledge is evolving, expecting parents need reliable, scientific, and compassionate guidance more than ever.
Magavu exists to bridge that gap.

Lakshmi faced a lack of awareness during her first pregnancy — leading to choices she wishes she had known more about.

An uninformed decision during her first birth led to a cesarean that could have been avoided with the right knowledge.
Breastfeeding Struggles
Challenges during breastfeeding highlighted just how little support was available for new mothers navigating this journey alone.
